Classical Federal Empire Looking Glass Gilt Mirror Beautiful circa 1820 Massachusetts lemon gold gilt rose motif mirror is in excellent condition. Appears to be original gilt surface, with very little wear. Mirror retains its original backboard. Gilded raised panel with roses, tabernacle top has 15 gilded ball decoration with framed out ribbon moulding along top edge. Glass is flanked by rope turned columns and small spiral twist at bottom in moulding. Back of raised panel has been curfed to prevent warping and has an illegible signature, see photos. Measuring 43" long, and at top 25" wide.

Diminuitive 2-Part Eglomise Panel Tabernacle Mirror A beautiful eglomise looking glass, featuring the reverse painting of a mother and child seated on a classical recamier sofa. There are some paint losses to her gown, see photos. Old wavy bubble glass. Retains its original gilding and backboard. Backboard over painting missing, but we will replace upon request. All original gilded balls. Mirror is framed by cove moulding with spiral twist running down center, all intact. Circa 1820. A similar example by Edward Lothrop of Boston is shown in The Mirror Book. Measuring 28+1/2" long, 16" wide at top, 12+1/2" across.

Wonderful Cornucopia Period Empire Gold Gilt Mirror Circa 1820 and of Massachusetts origin, this looking glass retains its original gilding, backboards, and ring hanger. Fabulous cornucopia on raised panel with cove and spiral twist moulding. Mirror is framed by Sheraton baluster turnings. Floral brass circular stamped floral medallion plates in corners. Its family history is on reverse, stating the mirror is from Cadwell House in Montpelier, Vermont. Condition is excellent. Measuring 34+1/2" long and 16" wide.
